Karl Storz borescopes are known for quality and durability the world over. You'll see the difference right away. These fine German instruments utilize a unique, patented Hopkins rod relay design that combines conventional lenses with short optical glass rods that yield higher brightness, accentuated color rendition, greater contrast and sharper images. In other words, the best quality images you can get for better, more accurate inspections. Karl Storz design excellence, optical quality and durability, combined with a wide variety of optical tip adapters, will meet your most demanding inspection applications.

High resolution images Karl Storz borescopes provide brighter, sharper images that let you see tiny details and easily identify objects for more accurate inspections, without fatigue or eye strain. The high resolution optics offer:

  • Less astigmatism to reduce image distortion
  • Less lens barrel distortion to eliminate curving of lines at the edge of the image
  • Less field curvature to keep the center and the outer edge of the image in focus at the same time
All Karl Storz borescopes are designed to operate with the new TechnoPack II™ CCU/light source and TechnoPack X™ portable image management system.
Durability Karl Storz rigid borescopes are designed for the toughest industrial applications.
  • We offer 3 layers of optical protection to ensure the highest degree of durability
  • The body is made of solid brass and the insertion tube stainless steel
  • The bone shaped rod lenses allow for the rigid scope to have a flexibility to decrease breakage
  • Optical windows are recessed to protect them during use
  • Shaft rotation prevents damage and increase ergonomics by allowing the insertion tube to rotate around its' circumference.
  • Removable protective sleeve shields the scope probe against damage from accidents and rough handling. This is especially important in rugged, industrial environments where tender loving care is not often practiced. A specially designed locking mechanism holds the sleeve securely in place over the probe.
Shaft rotates Karl Storz rigid borescopes are designed for the toughest industrial applications.

Focus control is conveniently located on the scope body.

Rugged construction Karl Storz borescopes feature 3 layers of optical protection, solid brass body construction, and stainless steel insertion tubes. The rod lenses are bone shaped to increase flexibility and decrease breakage and the optical windows are recessed to protect them during use. These are extremely durable borescopes that will provide years of trouble-free service wherever they're used.

Diameters and working lengths You can access extremely small holes with a 1 mm (.025") diameter borescope or choose diameters up to 10 mm (.394") for different applications. Working lengths up to 31" are available.
